Angelo Santino is Research Director and head of the Unit of Lecce of CNR-ISPA. His research activity has been focused on the nutritional improvement of horticultural crops using innovative green biotechnologies and new genome editing techniques. He is also involved in scientific projects dealing with the valorization of minor crops characterized by a high nutritional value. He (co)authored more than 120 scientific papers on prestigious scientific journals.
