Federica Blando

Federica Blando obtained her PhD in Horticultural Sciences at Pisa University, in 1991, with a dissertation on plant biotechnology (in vitro culture of fruit tree). She is permanent researcher at ISPA-CNR where she is involved in plant in vitro culture research, in addition to food chemistry research, particularly polyphenol and anthocyanin bioactive compounds of fruits and vegetables. She is particularly interested to plant biodiversity and valorization of marginal fruit and vegetables species.
