Her main research lines are: preparation of plant matrices for the extraction of bioactives through innovative and conventional technologies; encapsulation of bioactives in alginate and/or cyclodestrins to obtain ready-to-mix ingredients for novel functional food formulation; identification and characterization of bioactive compounds by GC-MS and HPLC; plant cell and tissue culture for the biotechnological production of pharmacologically important secondary metabolites.
