He works at CNR-ISPA since 1996 after his magna cum laude master degree in Agricultural Sciences. His main research activities dealt so far with the (i) physiological, molecular and probiotic characterization of agro-food bacteria; (ii) detection of food borne pathogens and application of physico-chemical methods for their control; (iii) formulation of foods with innovative functional and nutritional characteristics; (iv) food waste reduction by recycling them into the food chain.
