Vito D’Ascanio, PhD, is a chemist and a technical research assistant at the Institute of Sciences of Food Production in Bari. He has more than 10 years of experience in the analysis of mycotoxins in solid and liquid foodstuffs, including biological samples (urine, blood, feces, and target organs). His research activity is focused on the in vitro/ in vivo efficacy assessment of mycotoxin detoxifying agents, and in the development and validation of analytical methods for food/feed contaminants.
