FUNLED project aims to study the response of the edible fungus Pleurotus eryngii to monochromatic light from LEDs, focusing on commercial aspects (yield, fruiting body morphology) and nutritional factors (proteins, polyphenols, carotenoids, vitamins C and D, minerals). Enzymes involved in defense processes, lignification, and cap pigment production will also be analyzed. The data obtained will help identify the genes and photoreceptors involved in the light response.
